Luckeep X2 Step Over

Opened the box two days ago and have been riding it ever since. Don't remember seeing that it has turn lights and horn on description, but added bonus. QR code takes you to videos of how to set up bike, was pretty easy once I found the right video. Had to use allen wrench with socket wrench to get steering wheel tight enough. Came with an allen set but not able to get it tight enough (wasn't expecting any tools with it to begin with so didn't matter to me). I don't see a big difference between the one and five settings. It's pretty much on or off. Seems like a higher quality bike than what I paid which was about $1,100 and then a few hundred to ship. Little bit of a pain to get the battery out of the bike. Phone holder that came with is nice. Don't know that I would change anything. It was hard to find a bike without the fat tires, so glad this one is an option. Tires are like large mountain bike tires. Only took me about 20 minutes to unbox and set up. I can get it to go about 25 mph. I went just over 11 miles today and it dropped to 90%. Putzed around with the family to show them the bike and it's now at 80%. Seems like the range is only if you're consistently riding it over a long period. So based on that seems like I could go 80 miles on it. I had it on the five setting the entire 11 miles. Would get up in the thirties going downhill and peddling feverishly.

I'm recently retired. My doctor recommended an ebike for exercise, one with a torque sensor that the rider still pedals. I bought 2 for my wife and I. This ebike checks all the boxes. 750 watt QUIET motor, 20 AH battery, hydraulic brakes, torque sensor, tires that aren't ridiculously fat or too skinny, not too heavy, can be easily pedaled if the battery is exhausted, comfortable upright riding position, surprisingly nice seat that won't need to be upgraded, comes with fenders and rear rack, with really nice looking instrumentation built into the handlebar mount. It's a nice looking bike without being a beast. It's like riding a luxury vehicle. We have lots of hills in my area. I took it out for an 18 mile test ride up some very steep hills and it used less than 30% of the battery. I think the battery will outlast me on a daily ride.

July 2024 update

[Purchased May 2024 ]

Luckeep dual battery version X2 bike "step over". Better value and equivalent specs compared to other higher priced manufactures. It came in two foam protected shipping boxes. My included dual battery installation kit had a major incompatibility problem - in that the three down tube holes for mounting the battery bracket onto the frame do not align. It Required drilling two holes into the bracket (see photo) and repositioning the plug. Customer service responces when asking questions or requesting assistance have been great.

UPDATE : Luckeep promised the correct battery brackets will be sent out soon.

HELPFULL NOTES:

1. remember to apply a drop of (locktite) "blue" thread locker on the screws when assembling your bike.

2. Take bike out for short test runs.

3. Perform detailed inspections of your bike after each of your rides.

* 30" inseam or longer is what a person needs to feel comfortable on this "step over" model - if you measure smaller in size you should order the "step through" frame it has the same Specs just easier to mount.
