How old do I need to be to ride a Luckeep E-Bike?
In accordance with local US laws, Luckeep recommends that only riders aged 14 and above ride on our electric bikes. Be sure to check your local state e-bike laws to guarantee the age limit for e-bike riding.
Do I need a special license to ride an E-Bike?
Luckeep E-bikes are designed under US regulations. Therefore riders will not need any special license to ride our bikes. This is true only of Luckeep branded bikes and does not carry over to all other types of electric bikes.
Have Luckeep's electric bikes been safety certified?
All Luckeep electric bikes for sale have passed UL 2849 international certification and undergone tens of thousands of laboratory tests to ensure that every Luckeep electric bike leaving the factory has the best performance.
This bike was bought for me close to a year ago to help me be more mobile in my area. And boy, has it helped with that. For the record I have the older X1 model with the 750W motor and key fob. Currently sitting at around 2,600 miles on my X1.
Out of the box it will easily get up to about 30mph. I however have thrown a bigger, more comfortable seat on it and thicker tires- a long with a crate to carry my 20lbs chain I use to lock it up. So I'm getting more like 25-28mph. Which is still great considering the extra weight I've added on to the bike. My area is nothing BUT hills and it goes up them fine. It won't fly up them but it will definitely climb 99% of these extremely steep hills around my area.
I have ridden the bike in snow, rain, and the heat. And it has performed well in it all. In the summer if the bike feels like it's getting too hot is has an auto stop/shut off type feature to avoid damage to the battery and prevent unwanted fires like you get from cheap Chinese ebikes. While this is made in China, it is not one of those garbage Temu bikes. Clearly these people mean to make a quality product and have delivered.
The bike is larger and heavier than you think it will be, so I wouldn't recommend it for smaller people. But, for someone like me, a fully grown man who's close to 6 foot tall it's pretty much perfect.
The seat is pretty uncomfortable, and the tires won't last very long if you use this to commute- but they have to save cost somewhere and most people do upgrade their seats (which I recommend you do) and tiresbimmediately so I've no issues with that. The fact it comes with hydraulic brakes is honestly really awesome for the price range. DONT cheap out and get an ebike with cable brakes. You'll be doing moped speeds and the hydraulic brakes have saved my bacon many times when I'm flying downhill close to 40mph.
But the real winner for me (and the entire reason I'm writing this review) is Luckeeps customer service team. For a China based company they're very quick to get back to me and have addressed any and all concerns or issues I have had (for example my bike was missing pedals and they promptly apologized and sent me out a set immediately). I have been getting better service from them than I have a lot of US based companies. As long as they keep treating me well I will continue to do business with them and my next ebike will be another Luckeep.

The customer service is horrible. They will gladly take your money for replacement parts then give you no answers and never ship your items. If the customer service wasn't such a scam it would be a different story. Don't make my mistake you will regret it.

Got 2 and mostly impressed
Got 2 of the new ones, one red and blue. The 1000w motor is very powerful and finding that even on pedal assist 1, the bike provides more assistance than desired. Going to try changing to 10 levels I hopes level 1 is lower. Both bikes wobble some at around 20mph. Seems to be that the tires aren’t quite round. I have not been able to get the nfc unlock working with iPhone or watch. Support has provided videos but steps don’t seem to work with current iOS. Overall, quality is a step higher than our prior Sondors bikes.

This bike and customer service especially are absolutely terrible. Don't believe all these fake reviews about how amazing this trash is. I have less than 450 miles and under 30 hours of battery time and already have to replace the motor, the frame latch, and rear brake. This bike can't go up any hills, the range is 20% of what they claim. If you do order replacement parts you will never get them. They will send you fake tracking numbers and repeat the process. If you plan on purchasing this I recommend you go bang your head on a concrete wall for a more pleasant experience than dealing with these scam artists. Big regret don't make the same mistake.
